Mission Statement

The mission of the Rhode Island Writing Project is to promote writing, reading, and learning in Rhode Island's schools. Our professional development model recognizes the primary importance of teacher knowledge, expertise, and leadership. Our work is grounded in the belief that the professional growth of teachers is essential to the growth of students.
